If by some chance you are one of the lucky few to know ahead that you are birthing a hoss sized child I suggest you take several outfits with you to the hospital so that you avoid my experience of sending the hubby home for one of the few three month old outfits we had. Our son grew fast and continues to do so. At nine months of age he is 26 lbs and 30 inches in length. This most defiantly places him in 24 month old clothes. Sadly all clothes are not created equal and in no way am I endorsing any particular brand. I have simply found that much like women's clothes there is no set standard for infant clothes either. With that said I have primarily stuck with the Carter's and Jumping Bean from Kohl's as well as the Old Navy brand. I have found that both Carter's and Old Navy tend to run rather long in their sizing which is great for our son and Jumping Bean is just slightly shorter. Carter's also tends to be a bit wider and Old Navy fits pretty slim. Lastly, Old Navy has a weight and height guide on all of their infant clothes which has been a saving grace for me as a new mom.
Keep in mind all clothes are not created equal in sizing and you will do just fine!
